(Washington, DC—19 November 2009) Consultants with Plexus Consulting Group, LLC have just completed a USAID-sponsored project in the Kingdom of Jordan in which three social and economic scenarios were developed and used as a basis for strategic planning for eight sectors of the Jordanian economy.
International economist Dr. Sarah Bryant and Plexus president Steven Worth worked in tandem to first develop the three-part scenarios and then to facilitate introductory planning sessions with the public and private sector leaders representing the most important sectors of that nation’s economy: education; trade and investment; manufacturing; banking and finance; tourism; the news media and non-governmental organizations; as well as Jordan’s all-important water and energy sectors.
“This is a ground-breaking project sponsored by USAID and operating under the auspices of the newly created Social and Economic Council of Jordan. We hope this practice of developing plans based on various scenarios takes root and becomes part of the regular planning discipline of every entity within Jordan,” said Plexus president Steven Worth.
