With over eight years experience in the Food and Neutraceutical industry, Andaleeb Ahmed is actively involved in different areas including research, technical writing, marketing, public relations and business development, both locally and internationally. Her educational background and work experience have given her a solid foundation in a broad range of research projects conducted both independently and as a team member. Ahmed is also constantly updating her technical expertise through repeated interaction with experts from different organizations and associations across the globe. Most recently, while working as a consultant for EMG (The Netherlands), she was involved in extensive marketing research, press releases and newsletter projects for Capsugel/Pfizer for the Eastern European markets. During her time there, Ahmed was involved in business development for the company at the international level. Ahmed is an extremely articulate and persuasive person with excellent oral and written communication skills that have led her to rapidly become an international correspondent for a large number of publications for the Food and Nutraceutical industry. Her strong research expertise and marketing strategy have played a significant role in establishing her reputation in the international arena. As a scientist, she has worked for different organizations to achieve thorough experience in research, quality control and documentation. Her technical expertise has enabled her to effectively deliver solutions to customers. Her experience in the industry also involves strategic planning, documentation and SOP writing. She has also completed a number of management courses at the University of Maryland to further boost her managerial and communication skills. Andaleeb Ahmed received her MS degree from Kansas State University with a major in Food Science. She also received her BS and MS from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, in Applied Chemistry. She was a regular contributor of scientific articles for a leading newspaper in Pakistan while working for her MS. Another of her major accomplishments needing special recognition
is the writing of a book “Introduction to Food Science and Technology”,
published in Pakistan in 1993. This book was her major venture into
this challenging field of authorship, which provided Food Science
students, Food Industry Managers and Technologists in Pakistan with
a valuable source of reference. |
