Belisa de las Casas brings more than 15 years of experience at the managerial level, where she successfully developed business strategies, launched promotional campaigns, built strategic alliances and opened up new markets across Latin America. Her main fields of experience are in management, marketing, operations, supply chain logistics and international trade.

Most recently as a consultant in the non-profit sector, Belisa was involved in capacity building efforts and providing business and market access to low income artisans in developing countries. She also developed export markets for Latin American crafts and helped design market orientation programs for potential exporters to the US. Belisa also supervised overall program implementation, developed prospective funding, and helped to develop business training modules.

As Executive Director for a trade company, based in Florida, Ms. de las Casas was in charge of managerial as well as operational work. She initiated the sourcing process and conducted the negotiation of the company’s global demand for promotional material. This enabled her to contact suppliers all over the world, coordinate the logistics involved in the export/import process, control distribution through automated systems, supervise in-field operations and manage corporate-government relationships.

During a brief period Belisa was also recruited to implement a liaison and public relations office at the Ministry of Agriculture in Lima, Peru. Ms. de las Casas set up and administered a corporate image unit that streamlined all external and internal communications. She assisted in the coordination and implementation of a strategic marketing plan resulting in a more cohesive and flexible work flow with other government entities. Belisa also acted as team lead on missions to national and international trade fairs.
