Plexus Consulting Group Develops Content for Innovation & Excellence
Project at New Center for Association Leadership Intellectual capital and $50,000 contribution help launch knowledge resources in new global learning organization. WASHINGTON, DC, NOVEMBER 8, 2001 - Plexus Consulting Group today helped The Center for Association Leadership launch its "Innovation and Excellence Project," a key content engine of the extensive knowledge resources offered by The Center. The Center is new global learning organization located at the Marriott Learning Complex in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. It opened November 8 with a two-day "Center Experience Conference" that featured many of the unique learning experiences that will serve the professional and personal development needs of executives in associations and corporations. The Innovation and Excellence project features more than 100 in-depth case studies with supporting interviews, tools, and resources on transferable examples of innovation and excellence in real associations. Plexus Consulting Group helped develop these case studies, which are available at the Center and also in a virtual Center -- www.centeronline.org -- accessible to constituents across the nation through this in-depth, knowledge-rich interactive website. "Much of the leading-edge strategic thinking in organizational development is taking place in associations, which are the guardians and representatives of every profession and industry in the world," says Plexus Consulting Group President Steve Worth. "We are pleased to have this opportunity to highlight the innovative work of these organizations through The Center for Association Leadership and support its mission to enhance learning and offer a new level of knowledge resources." In addition to investing the intellectual capital of its worldwide staff to help develop the Innovation and Excellence case studies, Plexus Consulting Group contributed $50,000 to help fund The Center. Center for Association Leadership President & CEO Susan Sarfati, CAE, adds, "We salute Plexus Consulting Group and all the generous donors to the Center for their support of this exciting new global organization. Their strong support will enhance the professional and personal development of thousands of executives worldwide that will take advantage of the many innovative Center programs." The vision of the Center is to be a catalyst for change within the association community, helping people create better futures for themselves, their organizations, and those they serve. It offers learning experiences that foster innovation and excellence, creates and disseminates high-impact knowledge that advances the association profession, and nurtures a professional community that makes a difference in people's learning and lives. The Center is founded the Greater Washington Society of Association
