Washington, DC – 14 September 2005 - Plexus Consulting Group, a Washington, DC-based firm specializing in assisting associations, foundations, corporations, governments, and other organizations in multiple practice areas, has named Lora D. Meisner a Senior Advisor. Her vast experience as project manager and event planner will be of great value to Plexus Consulting Group, from logistics to developing communications strategies. As part of the communications team at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, she assisted the director of communications with a public advocacy plan for the reauthorization of OPIC by Congress. The plan consisted of a grassroots campaign including visits to the district offices of the members of Congress serving on the congressional committees overseeing the reauthorization process. Most recently, Ms. Meisner was Executive Director for the Committee
for Montgomery, which is comprised of community leaders representing
up to 40 diverse organizations in Montgomery County and works to improve
the quality of life through funding and issue advocacy with the Maryland
General Assembly.
