Washington, D.C., March 17, 2006 – The Montgomery County Public Schools – Montgomery College Entrepreneurship Expo 2006 will be co-sponsored this year by Plexus Consulting Group, LLC, and the Coleman Foundation. During this event, teams of student entrepreneurs representing the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and Montgomery College (MC) Business Management and Entrepreneurship classes will showcase their talent, skills, ideas and imagination. Competing teams have developed a business venture and will present their business ideas to an expert panel of judges. Teams have then minutes to convey their business idea and answer challenging questions from the judges. Judges consist of students from the University of Maryland, College Park-Hinman’s CEO program, Montgomery College, and local business entrepreneurs. "Small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) are the driving force behind the world economy, and SMEs in turn are created and driven by entrepreneurs. Competitions and education programs like this one, organized by the Montgomery County Public Schools, play the critical role of highlighting this important economic sector and developing the talents future entrepreneurs need,” says Steven Worth, President of Plexus Consulting Group, LLC.
