Washington, D.C. – July 19, 2006 Dr. Sharon Goldsmith – Director of Certification and Accreditation Services at Plexus Consulting Group – discussed the “how to’s” of developing professional certification programs at the Plexus Consulting Group office yesterday as a part of the Plexus Breakfast Series 2006. Dr. Goldsmith’s event is the second of this year’s Plexus Breakfast Series - a sequence of interactive breakfast speaking events hosted by Plexus Consulting Group for leaders of associations. Over a light continental breakfast, Dr. Goldsmith spoke in detail about the costs and benefits of a certification program, as well as the considerations that should be given before an association starts such an initiative. After a comprehensive presentation of association certification program options, Dr. Goldsmith addressed specific questions from guests. In attendance at this event were leaders from the Licensing Executives Society, National Osteoporosis Foundation, American Association of Engineering Societies, Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society, Chemonics International, and Plexus Consulting Group.
