Washington, D.C. – July 11, 2006 Brad Hess – Manager of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) of the U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA) – spoke about the federal program’s benefits to the association community at the Plexus Consulting Group office today as a part of the Plexus Breakfast Series 2006. Mr. Hess’ event is the first of this year’s Plexus Breakfast Series - a sequence of interactive breakfast speaking events hosted by Plexus Consulting Group for leaders of associations. Over a light continental breakfast, Hess spoke in detail about the Market Development Cooperator Program, a matching-funds initiative that helps state trade agencies, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and other not-for-profit organizations undertake international market development ventures. After a presentation and overview of the program’s benefits, evaluation criteria, and recent successes, Brad Hess addressed specific questions from guests and provided insights into the bidding process. In attendance at this event were leaders from Emerging Markets Group, National Women’s Business Center, American Association of Engineering Societies, and Plexus Consulting Group. Attendees exchanged business cards with Brad Hess, who encouraged guests to call him with further questions or assistance in completing proposals for the program. The Plexus Breakfast Series 2006 will host five more speaking sessions this summer. For details about each event, please e-mail Edward Chen at echen@plexusconsulting.com.
