Washington, D.C August 8, 2007 - Steven Worth, President of Plexus Consulting Group, LLC will speak on August 11, 2007 at the ASAE @ the Center for Association Leadership’s annual meeting and exposition. He will be one of three speakers offering his insight into the use of partnerships in the nonprofit community. Mr. Worth along with Raymond Towle, of the United States Chamber of Commerce and Karin Croft, of ASAE & the Center for Association Leadership will introduce and discuss the research behind the powerful partnerships book project. Plexus Consulting Group, LLC under the sponsorship of the United States Chamber of Commerce and ASAE & The Center have undertaken new research about “Powerful Partnerships” and will publish a book on associations that have engaged in partnerships with various entities. By examining different case studies, the book will explore how associations can increase service offerings; income and market reach with minimal cost and utilization of shared resources. This presentation will introduce the research process and give attendees background information on partnerships. The ultimate goal of the book is to help explain how partnerships fit into the business model and how they have enabled associations to extend their reach beyond what their staffs and boards might have thought possible. Moreover, he will illustrate what characteristics are needed for successful partnerships, while identifying the common pitfalls that cause partnerships to fail.
