Space Station Associates (SSA) is a coalition
comprised of the government affairs offices of the U.S. contractors for
the International Space Station (ISS). The Boeing Company -– lead
contractor for the ISS –- and other major aerospace firms retained Plexus
Consulting Group to help manage the day-to-day affairs of the SSA and
provide strategic insight on the federal budget and appropriations process
as it pertains to NASA in general and the ISS in particular.
Immediately after assuming management responsibility for this coalition, Plexus established a "members only" website for the SSA. Information that had taken days to be distributed to the coalition's members was distributed immediately via email and posted to the website for easy reference and retrieval. From a "paper intensive" coalition, the SSA has –- under leadership of the Plexus team –- become a virtually paperless organization. Plexus provides the following services to SSA: Plexus' success with the SSA coalition prompted one member to remark: "Our coalition has never run so smoothly. We are extremely pleased." |
